About me

Photography is a passion that draws many people… I am one of them.

Visual expression has always been present in my life, but I always considered it a dormant “thing” that I dared not to awaken –  yet it never left me alone…

Anywhere I look, life in the form of mental or physical images cries out to be noticed, to be promoted, to be shared. The created world that speaks loudly of the Creator is wonderful and certainly worthy of praise, yet it is full of stories that either should be kept a secret or should be yelled from rooftops. Where is borderline? I am asking myself…

People and their faces that gently reveal unspeakable details of their lives intrigue me – places that unveil beauty or awaken our conscience take my breath away – tiny details of objects and beings verging on becoming an abstract painting with light simply perplex me…

These are the moments and images that draw my eyes and I feel compelled to capture.

I have just started on a probably never-ending journey of mastering the skill and the vision of photography to tell these stories worthy of sharing in images that are worthy of capturing…

I owe a lot to a number of people who stirred this passion in me and taught me a lot  in the little time I have known them – I dare say – as friends – and these are the humanitarian photographers Jeffrey Chapman and David duChemin, and the incredible group of people I had the privilege of “shooting and sharing” together on my first ever photo workshop in the spring of 2010: Italy Within The Frame. A trip never to be forgotten!

So, now, up for adventure and the daring mission of showing my first fruits to you…
